Dear Manning Families,

We’ve almost reached the final week of the 2025/2026 school year, with just seven days remaining. As we wrap up the year together, please note that we will be following a slightly adjusted schedule.

Congratulations to our NASA Hunch Teams who were featured on 9News this past week. If you missed the story, you can find it here!

Our last official day of school is Wednesday, May 27. On that day, 8th graders will attend their end-of-year picnic at Maple Grove Park, while 6th and 7th graders will participate in fun activities at Manning. School will dismiss at 12:00 PM. That evening, our 8th grade continuation ceremony will be held at the School of Mines. Please review this document for additional details about continuation. We’re also looking forward to celebrating our talented musicians this week. Our end-of-year orchestra concert will take place on Tuesday, May 19, followed by the band concert on Thursday, May 21. We hope you’ll join us in recognizing the incredible work of our students. Congratulations to our amazing choir students who performed last week!

We’ve recently seen an increase in students bringing energy drinks into the building. While these beverages are permitted during lunch, we encourage families to discuss the potential health impacts of excessive consumption with their students. We ask for your partnership in ensuring these are enjoyed in moderation and consumed either before arriving at school or during the lunch period. As a reminder, we also ask that students keep only water in their reusable water bottles throughout the school day.

Hacky Sack has made a popular return to Manning! It’s wonderful to see our students engaging in these games; however, we ask for your help in reminding them that these activities should remain outdoors. To maintain a focused learning environment, hacky sack is not permitted in hallways or classrooms, and items being used inside the building may be held in the office until the end of the day.

Lastly, just a reminder that there is no school on Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day. School resumes on Tuesday, May 26. I hope you enjoy your long weekend with family and friends!
