Dear Manning Families,
As we approach the end of this week, we’ll already be halfway through February—this semester is flying by! Just a quick reminder that there will be no school for students on Friday, February 14, due to a non-student contact day, and Monday, February 17, in observance of Presidents’ Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, February 18. Enjoy the long weekend!
Starting Tuesday, February 18, students will no longer be able to pop microwave popcorn at school. Unfortunately, frequent overcooking has been causing smoke in the cafeteria and could potentially damage our microwaves. Moving forward, only pre-popped popcorn will be allowed.
Additionally, we ask that families avoid sending large, shareable lunch items to school, such as whole pizzas or big buckets of fried chicken. This helps us prevent food sharing, which isn’t a safe practice at school. However, families are always welcome to send individual meals or snacks for their own students.
Wishing you a great week!
Matt
In Partnership,
Matt
